‘Sundown’ is the next adventure in the Expedition Series of releases; a journey of discovery through the finest casks in our warehouse.

DISTILLER’S COMMENTS
“Sundown is a celebration of American oak. Matured predominantly in first-fill bourbon casks, it opens with inviting aromas of biscuity banoffee pie and toasted nuts. On the palate, chewy vanilla and mint chocolate are carried on a backbone of malt and toasted oak - thanks in part to the small 100 litre casks used for maturation. The finish is sublime, with dried fruit and lingering, warming spice.” - Abbie Jaume, Head Distiller
TASTING NOTES
Nose: banoffee pie, biscuit, ripe pear and hazelnut.
Taste: baking spices, mint chocolate, malt and crème caramel.
Finish: medium-long with raisin, tobacco and warming spice.
SUGGESTED SERVE
Short: neat, or with a dash of water.
Long: enjoy in an Old Fashioned cocktail. Combine 50ml whisky, 3 dashes bitters and 1 tsp sugar in a glass with a large ice cube. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the drink chilled. Garnish with an orange peel.

Distillation: double distilled on a 900 litre copper pot (‘Neilson’)
