GUIDED DISTILLERY TOUR

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of England’s only self-built whisky and gin distillery, nestled in picturesque countryside just a short hop from York. Our tours have been awarded TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice for the last three years running, placing us among the top 10% of attractions worldwide.

Come and discover the adventurous story behind Cooper King, see how we make our sustainable spirits and get up close to some rather special kit. We’ll introduce you to our innovative vacuum gin distillation process and our Tasmanian copper whisky still - the only one of its kind in the Northern Hemisphere.

Then it’s time to taste the results. Enjoy a fully guided tasting of at least six different spirits, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discover your favourites. Driving? We’ll give you a complimentary sample to take home and enjoy later.

Please Note

  • Over 18’s only. You may be asked to provide ID if you look under 25.

  • The site is wheelchair-accessible in all areas apart from inside the cask warehouse (you can still view the casks and engage with the tour guide).

  • The majority of the tour is standing; chairs are available on request.

  • Flat shoes must be worn and warm layers are recommended between October-April.
